Serbia is a relatively small country located in southern Europe in the central part of the Balkan Peninsula. Its largest city and the capital is Belgrade with a population of over 2 million. It is positioned at the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers and represents one of the oldest cities in Europe and an intersection of the roads of Eastern and Western Europe.

Belgrade has a distinctive architecture and boasts numerous impressive monuments and tourist attractions from various historical periods. It is a modern, warm-hearted city with a growing economy, famous for its hospitality and international spirit. Some of the most popular and breath-taking tourist sites in Belgrade are the following: the Danube and Sava Rivers, Belgrade Fortress, Avala Tower, the Square of the Republic, Vuk’s Monuments, Kalemegdan Park, Knez Mihailova St. etc.

Transfer

The international airport “Nikola Tesla” in Belgrade is around 20 minutes away from the city center. There are different types of transfer available to and from the airport. We suggest choosing a direct mini bus line A1 (takes you to the city center, square Slaviija) or a taxi service. A flat-rate taxi service can be booked in the arrivals hall for approximately 20 Euro. Taxis are available throughout the city of Belgrade, especially at the airport, train station and hotels. If you choose a taxi service please make sure to order taxi at the counter in the baggage claim area.
